At the same time, we also will start with gentle active and passive exercises for our patients to prevent stiffness from settling into joints and muscles as well as to improve muscle function, strength and blood flow.Early stage rehab:Physiotherapy at this stage will focus more on active exercises and activity to maximize your muscle strength, mobility and stability. The intensity and frequency of the exercise therapy program will be adjusted on a on-going process to suit your progressive level of activity.Functional rehab:In this last stage of physiotherapy post surgery, the bulk of the focus will be to work on function-related exercises to ensure that return-to-work or to previous lifestyle will be seamless and smooth. There will be much emphasis on patient education of body biomechanics and postural management to prevent any possible problems in the long run.During the entire physical therapy treatment process, you will be given a personalized home exercise program to complement and do between the sessions. We also provide home visits for patients who requests for on-going follow ups for supervisions, or those who wants guidance with exercise at home or at the gym.
