Louise graduated with an Honors Degree in Physiotherapy from Queen Margaret’s University, Scotland. To pursue her career in spinal and musculoskeletal physiotherapy, she moved back to Singapore since 2006, where she worked in a variety of spinal and musculoskeletal setting such as Changi General Hospital, Singapore’s Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Following the time spent in outpatients physiotherapy and rehabilitation of the spine and musculoskeletal injuries, she developed an interest in back and neck injuries and rehabilitation.

Louise enjoys her work tremendously and has much satisfaction from seeing her patients improve and recover and is a strong advocate of independence and rehabilitation. Being an active and outdoor individual, she believes in being healthy and having a balanced lifestyle to achieve the best quality of life.

Nisha has undergone extensive postgraduate education, which means that her assessment, diagnosis and treatments are based on the most up to date clinical evidence. This transpires into better patient outcomes. Nisha uses biomechanical analysis as well as a comprehensive assessment in order to tailor her treatment to match the patient's specific problem. She has been a musculo-skeletal specialist for since 2006 and deals with multiple physical problems; some of which include sports injuries, whiplash injuries, disc herniations, ACL reconstructions, repetitive strain injuries and various arthritic problems, at many times she does with great success.

Above all, Nisha is approachable and prides herself on building good patient rapport in order to achieve the best possible care for her patients. She readily employs hands on therapy to get the best treatment care.

Nisha is herself a very sporty person and practices as she preaches in way of exercise and healthy living. She currently enjoys Muay Thai, Badminton, Skiing, Diving and Running. She has completed a half marathon and many smaller scale races. She will soon be taking on a triatholon.

Jenny Huang specializes in both dynamic and kinesiotaping to help an array of clients to return to their daily life activities with fitness as goal.   As an athlete herself, she completely understands the importance of exercise, the need to return to sports, and the body's ability to heal with movement.  She received her Masters in Physiotherapy in the USA in 1997 with summa cum laude (highest distinction).  She practiced in the USA in inpatient, outpatient hospital settings, and orthopaedic clinics.  Currently she practices physiotherapy in a Pilates-based outpatient private gym setting as well as orthopaedic outpatient clinic.  She is a passionate mother of two, a sponsored athlete by New Balance and an avid runner here in Singapore.  She has won first place in the following races: the most recent 100km Sundown Ultra, 21km Great Eastern 2014, Singapore National Games Stadium Run Masters 2014, Singapore National Games 400m relay Masters 2014; third place in The North Face 25km trails 2014; seventh in Standard Charter Marathon Masters 2014. 

Jenny enjoys staying active and loves doing hands-on physiotherapy amongst her Ironmen and Triathlete friends and especially her two children.

Jacob holds strong interests in assessing and treating musculoskeletal injuries especially spinal conditions. His interests led him to learn different approaches in musculoskeletal practice like Mckenzie’s MDT, Mulligan’s technique, DMA clinical pilates, muscle energy technique, positional release technique, and chronic pain management.

At Changi General Hospital (CGH), he worked as a Senior Physiotherapist in out-patient spine clinic for 6 years. His work involved assessing, diagnosing and treating patients with various bone, muscle and joint conditions. For 18 months, he worked closely with the Accident and Emergency department to treat all kinds of acute musculoskeletal conditions.

He has received various awards like Singhealth Gold Award in 2011, Singhealth Silver Award in 2010 and best service award in 2009 at CGH. He also has provided physiotherapy coverage for various National and International sports and games like Youth Olympic Games in 2010, Asian Youth Games in 2009, Nan Ling badminton tournaments in 2013 and in various sporting activities.

Since graduating from St Thomas’s Hospital, Joanna has had more than 30-years career practising physiotherapy in the United Kingdom, Australia and Singapore. During this time she has worked in both the UK National Health Service and private hospitals, private practice clinics and domiciliary care residences; this includes providing physiotherapy support for three London marathons.

Joanna loves her work and is very enthusiastic about educating her patients in owning and taking control of their injuries. Her training in Pilates compliments her clinical skills that afford her patients a variety of approaches to treat their conditions.

Joanna loves to take advantage of the consistently fine weather in Singapore and being active outdoors.  She is a keen swimmer and walker, and attends bi-weekly Pilates/ Gyrotonic sessions for her own fitness and strength.  She also enjoys cooking and is currently, and slowly, trying to learn some basic Mandarin.

Rabia, originally from the UK, graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy in 2001 and moved to Asia in 2005. Rabia’s role at Urban Rehab is part managerial and part clinical. Rabia heads our operations to ensure Urban Rehab provides our clients with the most efficient service.

Rabia’s clinical areas of specialism are Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and Women’s Health. This repertoire has now extended to a special interest in chronic pain, Therapeutic Neuroscience education and Mindfulness for Pain management.

Rabia’s extensive postgraduate education has included Pilates for post-natal strengthening, Rock taping, Pelvic floor re-education, Mindfulness for Athletic Performance and the management of spinal disc injuries all of which combine a Mindful Movement and hands-on Physio-therapeutic approach.

Rabia’s main aim is to help her patients gain control of their pain/condition and manage their symptoms in order to return to normal activities. In her spare time, Rabia enjoys Yoga, Pilates, practicing Mindfulness and laughing with her children.

Upon receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison he went on to complete his Doctorate in Chiropractic at Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, CA.  Dr. Meuer holds advanced certifications from Nike (NG360) as a Golf Performance Specialist, the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI), Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Active Release Technique (ART), Rock Tape, and other performance industry leaders.  As a former competitive golfer, Dr. Meuer has played golf on both the U.S. NCAA collegiate and Wisconsin State PGA Sectional level. Senior Occupational Therapist Georgina graduated with an honours Degree in Occupational Therapy in 2009. Following graduation she moved to London where she began specialising in Hand Therapy. While working in London’s largest trauma hospital, she began specialising in complex hand and upper limb trauma, mainly seeing post-operative plastic surgery and orthopaedics patients. Following this she moved to another large London hospital and gained valuable experience in rheumatology. In January 2014 she relocated to Singapore and worked briefly in National University Hospital getting an understanding of Singapore’s healthcare system. She is currently undertaking her masters in Hand Therapy from the University of Derby.

Georgina joined Urbanrehab in July 2014 with a passion for empowering and educating her patient’s through their rehabilitation process. She builds good rapport and ensures each patient receives client centred and evidence-based care.

Georgina very much enjoys Singapore’s outdoor lifestyle and trying most of the local delicacies. She is enjoying travelling around Asia and working towards running her first marathon this year. She is a keen cyclist and cook. She speaks fluent Spanish and is currently learning French.

In 2005, Nigel graduated with a Diploma in Occupational Therapy from Nanyang Polytechnic (Singapore) and started working in Changi General Hospital to serve his bursary bond with them. Later in 2007 he pursued an offshore Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Sydney.

Following the time spent in Changi General Hospital in orthopedic and musculoskeletal rehabilitation, he developed his passion and interest in the rehabilitation of the upper limb and hand therapy. He later developed his own treatment style and philosophy, managing patients’ physical pains and problems and taking into consideration the emotional and psychosocial aspect of each patient.


Graduating from the Auckland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Health Science in Podiatry, our Singapore Podiatrist has resided in Singapore since 2009. During his time in Singapore he has worked in public hospitals as well as private clinics. Whilst working in public hospitals he developed an interest in diabetic foot care, which lead to an ongoing role as an advisory board member to the Diabetes Society of Singapore.

This has given him an insight into foot problems which are particularly unique to Singapore. In addition to this, he has a particular interest in sports related injuries and pediatric podiatry. Outside of work he is an avid foodie, and when not in the kitchen, is often to be found in search of the perfect bak chor mee.

Jacqueline has been practicing as a massage therapist since 2005. After graduating, she has massaged in spas at the 5-star hotels and in physio pilates studio.

Massage was a natural evolution for her as it suits her intuitive feel for helping people. She incorporates an eclectic style of massage that is both intuitive and functional at the same time. Her sessions combine a multitude of experience and training including Swedish, Shiatsu, Trigger Point, Deep Tissue, CranioSacral and other more subtle modalities, and additional health regimes, such as stretching and strength exercising to aid and improve her client's musculoskeletal condition. First and foremost, Jacqueline’s focus is on respecting her client’s needs whether they visit for relaxation or therapeutic purposes. Her work is most often described as intuitive and nurturing.

Jacqueline also took an interest in Pilates. In 2012, she went on to study mat pilates course to complement her massage therapy. Pilates is a body conditioning routine. She discovered Pilates when seeking rehabilitation for a recurred lowerback injury 5years ago and was so impressed with how effective it was! From then onwards, she continued maintaining her fitness level with practicing pilates and other exercises during her free time. Ken Lim grew up in a swimming family and his passion for swimming had led him to being a competitive swim coach in The Singapore Island Country Club (SICC) for 19 years. To name one of his career highlight, he was instrumental in nurturing National swimmer, Joseph Isaac Schooling during his formative years at the tender age of 6.     

Ken is also passionate about triathlon. He represented Singapore as a national triathlete (1994 to 1995) and competed in several prominent meets like Asian Triathlon Championship. Subsequently, Ken went on to complete several Ironmans and marathon races until he was diagnosed with cancer.

Yet, cancer did not kill his love for sports - upon recovery he returned to running and cycling almost immediately and has never looked back. Cancer also took him to give back by doing what he does best, rendering therapeutic massages for some elderly whom he crossed path.

Being an athlete and cancer survivor, Ken is the best person to relate with those who are plagued by injuries and frustrations of not being able to do what they love. He would not just be the hands that seek to serve the sufferers, but also an inspiration to those who are in the journey of recovery.

Having to have spent more than 6 years in Beijing has given Xiang Jun time to explore deeply into the Chinese culture and develop the wisdom to apply the philosophies behind the different artistry to her clinical TCM practice. Having to be trained under masters from both top academic field and those who have live incognito, Xiang Jun is well versed in administering TCM and acupuncture treatments that bring surprisingly immediate relief to many painful conditions.  She is currently pursuing her PhD degree in Acupuncture.

A practising yogini too, Xiang Jun often incorporates knowledge from Yoga as a form of therapeutic homework for patients.  

Not only is she apt to traditional forms of healing, her Biomedical Science background has aid her to understand and handle a clinical condition from the modern Western medical point of view.

Besides pain management, Xiang Jun also specializes in treating conditions related to gynaecology, paediatric and stroke sequelae.

From young, Felicia has loved spending time with people, especially the elderly population. She loved understanding what motivates them and therefore how she can help them.

She started out her career in St Luke's Hospital and having had the chance to run the dementia ward during her stay there, ignited her love for working with elderly patients with dementia. 

Also, having seen the huge improvements her stroke clients had, following stroke rehab, she was determined to work and effect positive change in the lives of stroke survivors and reable as many of them as she can.

Ee Laine has worked amongst mainly aged clients in the home setting and therapy centres in Australia where her main interest lies in helping people manage their pain and lead independent lives. After her move to Singapore, she continued to work in the home setting with a variety of clients, building good rapport and guiding them towards achieving their physical goals. She has a strong interest and expertise in the management of Parkinson’s Disease, mobility and balance issues and post-surgery deconditioning.

Ee Laine enjoys the active lifestyle with her two boys and loves to cook. Her new found interest in running (first half marathon in July 2015) has motivated her to expand her knowledge and experience in this area.

Dr Elton Ong obtained his Bachelors of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from the National University of Singapore and has been a practising physician for more than 10 years. As an avid sportsperson, he has a keen interest in musculoskeletal medicine, sports conditioning, injury management and rehabilitation. Having spent 6 years with Singapore General Hospital, he has extensive training in the field of Orthopaedic Surgery, Sports Medicine and General Surgery.

He is adept at handling minimally invasive surgical procedures and holds post‐graduate surgical qualifications from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Between 2011 and 2013, Dr Ong was the Medical Advisor and Principal Physician for the professional footballer’s league in Singapore. He was directly involved in the treatment of acute sports injuries and was regularly called upon to conduct pre-participation musculoskeletal screening for professional footballers.

His passion for injury management and prevention resulted in the development of numerous clinical pathways and therapeutic protocols that enabled expedient injury rehabilitation for the professional athlete.

To augment his understanding of musculoskeletal medicine, Dr Ong furthered his training with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and completed a post‐graduate course in clinical Occupational Medicine. He has been a practicing primary care occupational medicine physician with Fullerton Healthcare Group since 2011, and chairs the Medical Board for the group’s corporate clients on Workforce Strategies. He most recently developed a multi‐disciplinary protocol for early Return to Work for a leading health risk management consultancy to actively rehabilitate workers who have suffered work‐related musculoskeletal injury.

He spent two years with the Navy Medical Service serving as the Deputy Head of Navy Medical Operations, where he was certified in Advanced Cardiac and Trauma Life Support, and also developed a special interest in Hyperbaric Medicine, and is certified as a Designated Factory Doctor for Compressed Air Works. As the Deputy Head of Navy Medical Operations, he was heavily involved in manpower deployment, operations management for the entire Navy Medical Service, and strategic contingency planning of medical support for the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN). He was deployed as the Chief Medical Officer onboard an RSN warship on it’s voyage to the Gulf of Aden in 2009, and was responsible for the formulation of medical support operations and contingency services throughout the deployment. For leisure, Dr Ong enjoys playing the acoustic guitar, golfing, trail running, swimming, and bringing his 3 young children to playgrounds all over Singapore.
